The nice people at Oscar’s have given me a couple of new dates to make up for cancelling next Wednesday’s show. I will be playing on Tuesday 06.07 and Wednesday 22.09, as well as the planned 04.08 date.

Thanks to another scheduling decision that is out of my hands, I will not be playing on 02.06 as planned.

Sorry if you already made plans to come, and I have nothing solo planned now until August, but perhaps they will cancel that too!

…the 16th Esslinger Oldie Nights Festival last Friday!

We got the difficult job of warming up the first crowd of the weekend – mostly there to see Mainz Led Zep tribute band ‘Mad Zeppelin’, but I think a good few came to see us too. We went on at 18:30, which is very early by anyone’s standards, and had to include a break in the set too, which broke the flow of the set up a little, but it didn’t matter – we were on fire. Hoover’s voice sounded better than it ever has, and Till was on fantastic form too. Man we were all great!   Anyway, I think we made some friends there and maybe we could get some more gigs in that direction – who knows!

Oh, by the way – and this goes for all gigs – if you were in the audience and you took some great pics, then please share them!  Send them to me at info@stephendodds.de, or else put them online somewhere where I can link to them. That way everyone can see them, and that would be really great thanks!

We’ll be warming up (quite literally) the crowd tonight at the Oldie Night Festival at the Hafenmarkt in Esslingen. We start at 18:30, and if you would like to make some Oldies happy, then come down as early as you can and let’s have a great time. The place is cool, big stage, nice lights and sound, so it should be pretty good. The Mainz Zeppelin tribute band ‘Mad Zeppelin’ are on after us…so we have a Led zeppelin ‘Verbot’ in our set, but who knows, maybe something might sneak in…

Had a Grand day out yesterday at Rottenburg Weinfest. The marketplace was packed with Restaurant stalls, wine stalls, children’s rides, lots of people…..and me!  I was due to play from 12:00 – 15:00, but got extended to 16:00 as it was going pretty well. Thanks to all who said hello and for the compliments!  Hope to be back there again soon.

Don’t forget Fireball will be rocking the Oldie fest in Esslingen Hafenmarkt on Friday!

Cool gig yesterday at the stables of my friend Jochen’s dad’s stud farm for Norwegian Fjord horses. The occasion was an open day, the weather was much better than last year (it rained then!) but it was still bloody freeeeeezzzing! Still, we had a great time, with people dancing in the moonlight and on the tables!  I think alcohol may have been involved.

Looking forward to next year…

I have made a few changes to the site, and have created a guestbook – where you can write any messages you want. Obviously I would prefer the ones where you enjoyed the gig, etc. If you are from the Finanzamt then please don’t use this!

I have also updated the Gigs calendar, and these are now displayed in the sidebar as before, but also in a new page with more info. If you click on the name of the venue you should get a web link (if they have a website), and if you click on the address, you should get a google map / directions, etc.

Hurrah, set off the fireworks! I will be playing as part of the 12. Rottenburger Weinfest mit verkaufsoffenem Sonntag on 16.05 from about 12:00 midday onwards. Let’s hope for some nice weather…
